Manchester United’s academy revolution shows no signs of slowing down, with yet another bright prospect added to their ever-growing pool of young talent.

According to The Athletic, United have completed the signing of England youth goalkeeper Charlie Hardy from Championship club Derby County.

The 16-year-old shot-stopper is regarded as one of the most promising talents in his age group and will immediately link up with Darren Fletcher’s under-18 squad.

He will sign a scholarship and be eligible for a professional contract when he turns 17 in July.

JJ Gabriel is one of the superstars under Fletcher.

Despite being 15, he trained with the United first team yesterday.

Hardy is another fabulous talent who broke into Derby’s under-18s at just 15 and has earned five caps for England’s under-16 side.

The Red Devils have a rich history of producing and nurturing young talent.

Parents and young players alike are drawn to Old Trafford by a clear and proven pathway to senior football.

Over the last two years, United have aggressively bolstered their academy ranks, landing Chido Obi, Jack Fletcher, Tyler Fletcher, Sekou Kone, Diego Leon, and several other highly rated prospects.

They also signed Ayden Heaven from Arsenal’s academy and he is now a permanent squad member under United head coach Ruben Amorim.

After two turbulent years between the sticks, United signed Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp this summer.

Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir could be moved on permanently next summer, paving the way for a fresh generation of goalkeepers.

United loanee Radek Vitek is enjoying a fantastic spell at Bristol City and his performances could earn him a promotion to the senior squad next season.

For Hardy, the journey is only just beginning.

At 16, he must focus on sharpening his skills and adapting to the demands of United’s elite academy setup.

His immediate mission will be to impress under Darren Fletcher and make a strong case for inclusion in the under-21s next season.
