Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor has revealed a change in tactics made him “really happy” in their win against Chelsea.
The Black Cats stunned Chelsea as they ran out 2-1 winners at Stamford Bridge thanks to Chemsdine Talbi’s 93rd minute winner.
It started so well as Alejandro Garnacho fired Chelsea into an early lead before Isidor equalised, and Talbi secured the three points in stoppage time.

It felt like Chelsea were building some momentum, and victory would have made it five wins in a row in all competitions.
However, once again against a low block and a side sitting deep Chelsea had no answers, and created very little in a disappointing showing.
Sunderland sat in and absorbed the pressure and were able to take advantage of two poor pieces of Chelsea defending.
The Black Cats got their tactics spot on, and Isidor admitted after the game a change in tactics from Chelsea made him “really happy.”
“My job was to close down Caicedo, we know how he starts the attack every time,” he told BBC Match of the Day.
“They put me in trouble when they had two sixes, I didn’t know who to follow. But they did not continue with this.
“I’m really happy about it.”
Back to the drawing board for Chelsea
This isn’t the first time Chelsea have lost a game like this, and it’s a concern the same struggles are occurring in the same type of games.
Breaking down low blocks is an issue which pre-dated Enzo Maresca, but he hasn’t shown any signs that he’s able to solve it.
Chelsea moved the ball so slowly and lacked any intensity in their play or hunger to go and get the win, and it very much feels like the Blues need to return to the drawing board and find different solutions quickly.
