Morgan Rogers has been far from his best this season, but Aston Villa should have faith after the latest stat reveal.
Aston Villa’s 1-0 win against Man City is a showcase of how their fortunes have turned around, after what was a dismal start to the campaign.
However, one thing that hasn’t changed is Rogers‘ form in front of goal, with the Englishman still having only found the net on one occasion in the Premier League.
With that said, one stat showcases that while his form may not be at its best, his desire to work hard for the team is.

Let’s face it, Rogers has been poor by his standards this season, having showcased how good he really can be across all competitions in the last campaign.
The 23-year-old registered 27 goal contributions last season in 54 appearances, and has been able to manage just three so far this season.
His downturn in form has led to some questioning his desire and work ethic, though that will now be put to bed.
Only five Premier League players have covered more distance in the league this season than Rogers, who has covered 97.9km.
Above him are the likes of Granit Xhaka and Elliot Anderson, both of whom are certainly up there for player of the season so far.
Work rate may not bring results, but it demonstrates that he is still putting in the graft, and it will not be long until it starts to pay off.

Aston Villa certainly need to see more quality from Morgan Rogers
While his work rate is there, his quality hasn’t been.
Not only has he registered only three goal contributions this season, but his general stats have been very underwhelming.
Via FotMob, the Englishman has only created eight chances so far this season, with a combined xA (expected assists) of 0.72.
The fact that he has two actually showcases that he is outperforming that metric, mainly due to his teammates.
Only 35.7 per cent of his dribbles are successful, while he has won just 37 per cent of his total duels in the Premier League this season.
He will know just as much as anyone that he needs to improve this massively.
