Aston Villa supporters have an increasingly negative view of the Premier League.
Villa faces financial trouble over the summer as PSR threatened to undo all of Unai Emery’s excellent work in B6.
NSWE moved to sell the Villa Women’s team in order to improve their situation, but still struggled to spend throughout the window.
The Villans made three deadline day signings in the shape of two loans and a free transfer to add to the only big-money deal of the summer to sign Evann Guessand from OGC Nice.
The Villa Park faithful have since booed the Premier League anthem at matches and are unlikely to be impressed by yet another issue.
Premier League yet to confirm Boxing Day fixtures
Villa lost 3-0 to Newcastle on Boxing Day last year in what was a perfect way to put a massive dampener on the festivities.
Jhon Duran was controversially sent off after Anthony Gordon’s opener on two minutes, with goals from Alexander Isak and Joelinton following.
Villa will be hoping for a better outing in 2025 as they prepare to face off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge over the Christmas period.
The problem is, the Premier League has yet to confirm the exact date and time of the fixture, despite just two months until the potential kickoff.
The fixture schedule for December and January was meant to be released on 15 October, but the games chosen for television were only revealed by 22 December.
The Premier League has cited so-called “complexities” as the reason for the delay, but that won’t help supporters and their plans.
Aston Villa fans being let down by Premier League again
Villa fans were right to feel aggrieved against financial regulations over the summer, as it felt as if they were being used as an example to the rest of the division.
Reasons for this could be explained, especially given the B6 club’s high revenue-to-wage ratio.
That didn’t halt anger in the Midlands, and it is only likely to get worse if the Premier League don’t get the fixture schedule sorted.

Matchgoing fans, especially away fans who go every single week, like to have tickets and their transport plans sorted as soon as possible.
That isn’t being made possible by the league organisers, who are once again showing a total disregard for the supporters who make the Premier League what it is.
