Manchester United have announced Senne Lammens, Matthijs de Ligt, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha as nominees for October’s Player of the Month award.
Lammens made his debut against Sunderland — United’s first match of the month — and was named Man of the Match after keeping a clean sheet in the encounter.
The Belgian shot-stopper followed it up with composed outings in the victories over defending champions Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Lammens would become the first goalkeeper to win it since September 2024, when Andre Onana claimed it.
De Ligt was pivotal in United keeping a clean sheet against Sunderland, and put up brilliant defensive displays against Liverpool and Brighton.
The Dutch centre-back was also nominated for the award in August, underlining his consistency this term.
Mbeumo is aiming to win it for the second time, having received it in August. He was also nominated last month but lost out to captain Bruno Fernandes.
The Cameroonian provided an assist in the victory over the Black Cats, showed composure to break the deadlock against Liverpool, and netted a brace against the Seagulls.
Following his heroics against Fabian Hurzeler’s side, he has been voted the Premier League’s Player of the Matchweek, succeeding Harry Maguire as its winner.
Cunha also enjoyed a brilliant month, which he started with a cameo appearance against Sunderland.
He then followed it up with an outstanding all-round display at Liverpool and went on to open his goalscoring account against Brighton.
United have enjoyed a brilliant spell this month, winning three consecutive league games for the first time under manager Ruben Amorim.
Amorim will be hoping his side continues the momentum, starting with Saturday’s visit to Nottingham Forest.
