Manchester United have received a major injury boost.
Young sensation Shea Lacey suffered a shoulder injury during the 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s last Saturday.
He was substituted in the 65th minute and was spotted holding ice to the area while on the bench.
Man United Under-21s won 2-0 against Rochdale yesterday, with Shea Lacey absent from the matchday squad.
The Manchester Evening News have now confirmed that Lacey is fine after the knock and has trained normally this week.
The club did not risk him to face Rochdale as a precaution.
Lacey is a talent worth protecting
The 18-year-old has struggled with injuries early in his career.
He could have already made his bow for the United first team, if injuries had not forced him to spend significant time on the sidelines.
He has started the 2025-26 campaign with renewed energy and looks very fit.
The wonderkid also featured for England Under-20s and trained with the senior national team under Thomas Tuchel.
United head coach Ruben Amorim and his coaching staff are already blown away by what he has been doing in first-team training sessions.
In four Premier League 2 games this season, he has two goals and an assist to his name.
Lacey is traditionally a right-winger who can beat his marker through quick body movements and sharp dribbling skills.
He possesses great vision to create chances and looks tailor-made for the right-sided number 10 role in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation.
If he can remain fit, United fans may see him make his debut for the club in December or January, when Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo are expected to be away on international duty for the Africa Cup of Nations.
