Chelsea have doubled their lead against Wolves!
Jamie Gittens has grabbed his second assist of the night. While for the first he didn’t have to do anything apart from lay the ball off to Andrey Santos, this time it was all about the Englishman.
He’s been looking confident all night with the ball at his feet, and in this case he simply put it on a plate for Tyrique George. Gittens put on the burners and dropped a stepover to leave his full back in the dirt, then fired the ball across the goal for George to tap in.
It’s among the easiest goals he will every score, but to be fair to him he got into that position at the near post to put it away. We have far too many players on our books – including strikers – who wouldn’t have. George is now our third top scorer of the season, with 3 goals in just 340 minutes. That’s good going for the emergency backup striker.

Great play but Gittens! Showing his potential, he is really showing his creative side since joining.
If he can start showing his goal threat from last season he is gunna be a problem!

UPDATE: Estevao has bagged Chelsea’s third before half time! It was a wonderful chip after Andrey Santos won the ball back high up the pitch. This game is over, long before half time.

In other news…
Chelsea took the lead tonight through Andrey Santos, who banged in his first Blues’ goal with a shot from the edge of the area which you can see here.
Malo Gusto has been linked with a getting a new contract at Chelsea after establishing himself as a regular under Enzo Maresca. It’s not a universally popular decision in the fanbase.
