Amorim makes 2 changes | Predicted Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Nottingham Forest with Sesko & Yoro decisions

PL News Saturday 1 November 2025 - 04:43

Manchester United take on Nottingham Forest in today’s Premier League game on the road.

The Red Devils have picked up three consecutive wins in the top-flight and will aim to extend the streak against Sean Dyche’s side.

United are just one point behind the Champions League places, and could break into the top four with a victory over the Tricky Trees.

They will be eyeing their first victory over Forest in four attempts (three losses). We anticipate manager Ruben Amorim to make two changes.

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Predicted Line-up:

Senne Lammens has become United’s regular shot-stopper since his fine debut versus Sunderland. He has kept one clean sheet from three outings. The Belgian has been a calming influence at the back and has also caught the eye with his long-range passing.

In the back three, we predict one change from the 4-2 league win over Brighton & Hove Albion. With Harry Maguire doubtful, Noussair Mazraoui could get the nod over Leny Yoro on the right side of central defence.

The Frenchman had some shaky moments against the Seagulls and Amorim may want more defensive stability. Mazraoui is good in one-on-one duels. The rest of the backline should stay the same. Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw are poised to start.

Similarly, Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot are expected to continue in the right and left wing-back positions. Casemiro has improved his mobility and work rate under Amorim’s tutelage, and he is the regular number six at the moment ahead of Manuel Ugarte.

Bruno Fernandes had his best game in central midfield against Brighton. The Portuguese did not make a direct goal contribution in his 300th United appearance, but he won plenty of duels and made some good recoveries. He is growing into his new role.

Further forward, Bryan Mbeumo is a nailed-on starter on the right wing after his brace against Brighton. Matheus Cunha bagged his maiden goal to open the scoring. He could line up as a striker today as Benjamin Sesko could be dropped to the bench again.

Amorim previously said that he did not start Sesko against Liverpool as he did not want Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate to control the Slovenian aerially. Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic falls into a similar category as they are likewise dominant in the air.

In that case, we won’t be surprised if Sesko starts on the bench. Mason Mount could come into the team as an attacking midfielder. Amorim is a big admirer of the Englishman’s high pressing in the final third. Mount could have a big role to play this afternoon.
