One Chelsea player has been talking about his relief after his involvement in the Tottenham win last night.

Chelsea beat Tottenham away from home last night in the latest Premier League match up between the two London rivals.

It was just the one goal that decided it in the end after some fine work from Moises Caicedo winning three challenges in a row to set Joao Pedro up to score and put The Blues ahead.

Pedro says he will be taking Caicedo for dinner this week for his involvement in that goal and also, after another world class performance from the Blues midfielder.

Pedro has admitted how badly he needed that goal after the game in his post-match interview, having not scored for a little while after starting so strong in his Chelsea career.

Pedro said:

“I needed this goal because it had been a long time I didn’t score, and the team expect that from me.

“Today I could score and I am very happy. I always want to help the team, of course with goals and assists, but first I need to play well.

“If I play well, the goals are going to come. The important thing is just to win games, and I am very chilled about the goals.

“If I don’t shoot, I am going to create space for the others. I had a lot of opportunities, but if you see the other time I had the chance to shoot, I passed to Jamie [Gittens], so I play for the team.

“If we just win, I am happy. Of course I want to score, but sometimes it’s not going to happen. We won, I scored so I’m happy.”
