Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has been praising Chelsea in his honest assessment on the Premier League game yesterday.
Frank was on the losing side yesterday, going down 1-0 to Chelsea after Joao Pedro scored the only goal of the game. But there could have been many more goals for Chelsea and Frank can count himself lucky really that they only lost by one goal.
EXCLUSIVE! Juventus approach key Chelsea figure for an end of the season move!
Moises Caicedo was absolutely colossal for Chelsea again and made a real difference in terms of helping Chelsea keep the ball and also winning it back all the time.
Pedro says he will be taking Caicedo for dinner this week for his involvement in that goal and also, after another world class performance from the Blues midfielder.
Frank has no doubts
Chelsea were the better side, no doubt about it, says Frank in his post match interview.
“I think we were second best. Chelsea were better than us, no doubt about that.
“I saw a lot of effort from the players, but not a good performance. We lacked the energy and intensity that you have to put into a game like this.
“We can play at every pace that is needed. Today, slow or fast, it didn’t work no matter what.
“There will always be positives but, at the moment, I’m struggling to see it.”
He sounds so defeated already
Isn’t it great to be the reason that a Spurs manager is out there sounding so upset and defeated?
I wonder if he is regretting taking his role. Spurs have been inconsistent like Chelsea so far this season but they were so bad yesterday and have been so bad in their new home stadium.
