“Chelsea want to talk” – Fabrizio Romano issues update on key situation at the club

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has issued an update on one key situation that’s been going on at Chelsea recently.

Obviously Chelsea want to make sure that they can keep their very best players whenever they can, and making sure they are all on long contracts is a good way to keep their players secure.

EXCLUSIVE! When Cole Palmer is expected to return to the Chelsea squad – plans laid out!

There probably isn’t many Chelsea players who you can call indispensable, but there are certainly a handful of players at the club that I am sure the owners would not even pick up the phone to answer any enquiries for and players who are genuinely not for sale at any price.

We all know that midfielder Moises Caicedo would be one of them – there’s no way that Chelsea would listen to offers for him right now. But I guess there is always that fear in fans minds of a club like Real Madrid coming calling for him and what that would do to his head.

And Romano has an update on Caicedo’s situation and whether Chelsea will be handing him a new contract anytime soon.

Speaking on his latest set of updates on his YouTube channel, Romano said:

“Chelsea want to talk with Caicedo [for contract extension]. They want to reward him like they did with Palmer. But it’s not something they have to do in the next hours.

“Caicedo is very happy at the club, and this is the mutual feeling between Moises and Chelsea.”

Redknapp on Caicedo

Jamie Redknapp has also been full of praise for Caicedo this week after his display in Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Tottenham at the weekend. The pundit called Caicedo the best of his type in world football.
