Off the back of Chelsea beating Tottenham 1-0 at the weekend, a Chelsea player has called his team mate an ‘Octopus’.
I think for the player in question here, calling him on Octopus is actually probably the best way to describe him and is a genuine compliment!
EXCLUSIVE! When Cole Palmer is expected to return to the Chelsea squad – plans laid out!
I’ve just been covering another story on this guy as well this morning, with Chelsea still trying to get a new contract done for Moises Caicedo to extend his deal at the club.
Caicedo has been absolutely superb for Chelsea in the last two seasons and for me he has easily been Chelsea’s best player and has been the best midfielder in world football. Of course I am biased there, but overall, and in terms of consistency, I think he’s been the best there is in his position.
Calling Caicedo an Octopus is spot on. It must feel like he has more than two legs most of the time and how he managed to wrap his legs around and nick to ball away from his opponent from nowhere, is much like an Octupus with it’s long tentacles.
Fernandez on Caicedo
As you can see in the image above, fellow Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has referred to Caicedo as ‘Pulpo’, which means ‘Octopus’ in English, whilst wishing him a happy birthday on Sunday!
This is great
I love this, you can just see how much respect all his team mates have for Caicedo and how much they rate him. They know that when he is on fire, they very rarely lose a football match. Caicedo is absolutely colossal and I know that he is a player that every other player in the top leagues would want in their team.
