Ben Broggio is deserving of a chance in the Aston Villa senior side.
Aston Villa have plenty of elite young talents at their disposal, but Unai Emery has been reluctant to trust in them throughout his Villa Park tenure.
The winger is up there with one of the most exciting starlets in B6, showcased by Villa offering Broggio a long-term deal last season.
Broggio has been excellent for Villa’s academy sides in recent years, but has been awarded with just one first-team appearance.
I believe this should change for Broggio against Maccabi Tel Aviv, as he may be afforded the opportunity to showcase his talents in the Europa League.
Ben Broggio deserves chance vs Maccabi Tel Aviv
The 18-year-old was named on the bench for the claret and blue outfit as Villa fell to a 2-0 defeat against Liverpool last time out.
This was the second time that he has been named in a first-team squad, having also been an unused substitute away to Feyenoord in October.
I think it would make total sense for him to take the next step and feature for the Villans in the upcoming clash against Tel Aviv.
Broggio most recently netted for Villa under-21s against Nottingham Forest, where he put in an impressive shift.
The Englishman took three shots on the day, while also completing five passes into the final third, maintaining a 79 per cent pass accuracy.

The teenager also contributed four defensive actions, winning four duels, which could serve Emery’s side well in the Europa League.
He has impressed at Bodymoor Heath, and I feel that a clash against the Israeli outfit in B6 could be an excellent chance to get involved in the senior set-up.
Aston Villa need someone like Broggio right now
Villa let Jacob Ramsey go in the summer, and although his output had been poor, I have felt let down by the lack of local representation within the current squad.
Having a player who supporters can relate to is always great and has worked so well with the likes of Jack Grealish and Ramsey in recent years.
Broggio could prove to be the next in line to take up that mantle, and I would love to see what he can do if given the chance against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
His ability on the ball is superb, and with his eye for goal, I do think he could slot in nicely as he develops properly into the men’s game.
I want to see a local lad play regularly for Aston Villa, and right now, it looks as if Broggio is the brightest light to become a star in B6.
