Sesko Dropped: Amorim to make two Man United changes vs Tottenham as 26yo returns

PL News Thursday 6 November 2025 - 07:13

Manchester United will travel to London to face Tottenham Hotspur in a high-stakes Premier League showdown on Saturday.

The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last four games and will be desperate to extend that run with another crucial three points to continue climbing the league table.

Tottenham bounced back from two consecutive league defeats with a ruthless 4–0 demolition of FC Copenhagen in midweek.

Both sides will view this encounter as a potential six-pointer and a golden opportunity to make a statement in the top-four race.

United head coach Ruben Amorim masterminded a clever tactical plan in the 2–1 win over Liverpool and will once again aim to outsmart his counterpart Thomas Frank.

We believe Amorim could freshen things up with two key changes to his starting XI.

Mason Mount for Benjamin Sesko

Benjamin Sesko has impressed with his displays and already has two goals and one assist in less than 600 minutes of league action.

His tall frame and sharp movement have added a new dimension to United’s attack.

Amorim is a great believer in horses for courses and this clash feels perfectly suited for Mason Mount’s inclusion.

The former Chelsea man is known for his superb work rate, both on and off the ball.

Chelsea have already shown how Tottenham can be smothered with an intense high press.

Mount is a tireless presser and his mobile presence may force Spurs to make mistakes in their own half.

The 26-year-old scored a goal against Sunderland before putting on a composed performance at Anfield.

He suffered a knock but still made it to the bench against Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest.

Deploying Mount in a false-nine role could give United more fluidity up front, with Sesko providing a powerful option off the bench in the second half.

Patrick Dorgu for Diogo Dalot

Dalot has failed to impress in recent games and was culpable for Forest’s second goal last weekend.

When the ball fell invitingly inside the six-yard box, Dalot hesitated instead of clearing his lines, allowing Forest to pounce.

While his presence allows Amad Diallo to push higher up the right flank, it might be time for Amorim to hand Patrick Dorgu his chance.

The Danish full-back has impressed in limited minutes, showcasing his ability to surge up and down the left flank with energy and confidence.

If he can refine his final ball and improve his crossing consistency, Dorgu could become a genuine attacking weapon for United.
