Ian Maatsen has had a stinker for Aston Villa outside of his goal against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Villa have welcomed Maccabi Tel Aviv to Villa Park as they looked to get back to winning ways in the Europa League.
There was vast amounts of noise outside the ground as Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters were banned from entering Villa Park.
UEFA had officials on hand after protests before the Tel Aviv clash, with the strange atmosphere of the game continuing into the ground.
That has seemingly impacted the performance in B6, with Maatsen showcasing a shoddy performance before getting on the scoresheet.
Ian Maatsen deserves half time axe vs Maccabi Tel Aviv
Maccabi Tel Aviv had no away fans inside Villa Park, but didn’t let the lack of support impact their first-half showing.
The Israeli outfit had the better of the chances and looked the more accomplished side in the Midlands despite their UEFA coefficient ranking of 70.
Several Villa players were poor in the opening 45 minutes, but Maatsen struggled as much as almost everyone else before opening the scoring.
The Netherlands international took 33 touches in the half but maintained a zero per cent success rate with attempted dribbles and crosses.

Maatsen also failed to contribute a single tackle while losing out on two duels to the away side, summing up the majority of his performance in B6.
Emery has an opportunity to get Lucas Digne on and help consolidate the action in the second 45.
Lucy Ward sums up Aston Villa vs Maccabi Tel Aviv perfectly
After losing to Go Ahead Eagles in their last Europa League outing, anything but a win against Maccabi Tel Aviv will be unacceptable.
Even after taking the lead in first-half stoppage time, the second half could still make for a long evening for the home outfit.
Speaking on TNT Sports 2, co-commentator Lucy Ward said exactly what every supporter watching this one thinks.
She said: “This game hasn’t really got going. It’s been very stop-start. Aston Villa, as the home team, will be hoping to gain control, but it has been difficult.“
Emery needs to make big decisions in the half-time interval, and beyond that, will have a telling impact on the rest of the campaign on the continent.
