According to ESPN, Arsenal are set to bolster their academy with Ecuadorian twins Edwin and Holger Quintero.
The 16-year-olds are currently on the books at Independiente del Valle – the club that developed Piero Hincapie and Moises Caicedo – and would be eligible to join the Gunners when they turn 18 in August 2027.
Holger plays as an attacking midfielder, while Edwin operates on the right wing. Neither has broken into senior football yet, but both have represented Ecuador at under-17 level – a useful factor when it comes to the FA’s points-based work-permit system, which weighs youth caps, senior appearances, league strength and minutes played.
Per James Olley’s report, the Quintero family have been in London this week to finalise agreements.
Back in October, Arsenal confirmed the signing of Ireland youth international Victor Ozhianvuna from Shamrock Rovers, who is also set to link up with the club in January 2027.
