6 G/A in 8 Games: Amorim has a ruthless £56.5m Man United weapon ready to punish Brighton again

Manchester United will host Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Seagulls have enjoyed a stunning record at the Theatre of Dreams in recent years, winning on each of their last three visits.

United finally recorded back-to-back league victories for the first time under Ruben Amorim last weekend, and the Portuguese coach will now be eyeing a third straight win to truly build momentum.

That will be no easy feat against a well-drilled Brighton side that thrives in possession and transitions.

The Red Devils had a clear plan to bolster their attack with proven Premier League forwards this summer.

Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo arrived to inject energy and end product into the side, with the latter boasting a superb record against the Seagulls.

Mbeumo has faced Brighton eight times, bagging three goals and three assists.

The 26-year-old is also in great form, having started his Manchester United career in electric fashion.

He has three goals and an assist to his name in nine games across all competitions this season.

His partnership with Amad Diallo down the right flank has been a revelation.

The £56.5 million-rated star has thrived with Diallo providing width, giving him the freedom to drift into central spaces and exploit gaps between defenders.

His goal against Liverpool was a clear example of what Amorim wants his players to do.

When he spotted Diallo in space on the wing, he picked himself up, timed his run in behind Virgil van Dijk to perfection, and buried his chance to give United the lead.

Lewis Dunk is expected to start in the left centre-back spot, and Mbeumo could look to expose him in similar fashion.

Mbeumo has the ability to lose his marker in an instant, either creating danger himself or setting up teammates in prime positions.

His influence could very well determine whether United extend their winning streak or stumble once again against their recent bogey team.
