Manchester United will host Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.
Both sides are beginning to find their rhythm after a shaky start to the season and will be desperate to walk away with three crucial points.
United have secured back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time under manager Ruben Amorim.
Another triumph could thrust the Red Devils into the thick of the top-four conversation, something that seemed distant just a few weeks ago.
Facing Brighton will be a highly challenging task.
The Seagulls have made Old Trafford their playground in recent years, winning on each of their last three visits.
Amorim made a few bold selection calls against Liverpool, and his bravery was rewarded with a statement 2–1 victory at Anfield.
Brighton did the double over United last season, including a 3–1 victory at Old Trafford.
Many United players failed to rise to the occasion but Noussair Mazraoui put on a terrible show.
Mazraoui admitted last month that his “toughest game” was against Kaoru Mitoma.
The Moroccan won only one out of seven duels contested and was at fault for two Brighton goals.
Mitoma tormented him throughout the evening, first ghosting past him to set up Yankuba Minteh’s opener.
Minteh turned provider in the second half, with Mitoma beating Mazraoui at the far post to net the second goal of the evening.
The £25 million-rated defender was honest enough to admit that he blamed himself for the defeat.
He has endured a stop-start season, featuring only in three games.
He recently recovered from an undisclosed injury and was named on the bench for the Liverpool clash.
Given Mitoma’s confidence and history in this duel, Amorim would be wise to think twice before naming Mazraoui in his starting XI on Saturday.
