“Incredible to see”: Morgan Gibbs-White blown away by what Man Utd have recently done

Nottingham Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White has said fond words about Manchester United ahead of the Premier League meeting between the clubs on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils have won their last three games in the English top-flight, and they are currently sixth in the table with 16 points, only one behind the Champions League positions.

It has been a tremendous revival for United under manager Ruben Amorim after a slow start. Gibbs-White has said that it is ‘incredible to see’ the club’s turnaround this campaign.

The 25-year-old added that the Red Devils have started to peak over the last four to five games, and believes it is something that the league has missed over recent seasons.

He told Stan Sport (via Manchester Evening News): “Yeah it has been incredible to see.

“Obviously they have been going through a tough time, the past couple of years but they have stuck with the gaffer.

“The past four or five games you’re really starting to see how Manchester United should be playing – that grit and that determination to play for the badge.

“I think it has been incredible to see. It’s something that I feel like the league has missed. All we can do is focus on ourselves.”

United need to extend promising winning run

The Red Devils recently picked up back-to-back league wins under Amorim for the first time. They extended the streak with a 4-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford.

The onus is now on prolonging the winning run when they face struggling Forest on the road. On current form, United are favourites for a fourth-straight win to potentially break into the top four.

However, they can’t afford any complacency. Forest are under a new manager in Sean Dyche, who is perfectly suited to their strength, which is to play with a low-block and counter-attack.

Forest have won the last three league meetings, but the Red Devils have the opportunity to end the dreadful record. They did something similar against Brighton last weekend.

The Seagulls were on a three-match winning run at Old Trafford, but United ended the streak with a relatively comfortable victory despite conceding a couple of goals late on.
